The Government has notified the extension of Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous
Provisions Act, 1952 to the following class of establishments.
- Companies offering life insurance, annuities etc. Other than Life Insurance Corporation
of India;
- private airports and joint venture airports;
- electronic media companies in private sector;
- lodging houses, services apartments and condominiums
The notification is effective from 08.12.2007.
All establishments falling under the above class and not covered under the Employees'
Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 are requested to approach
the Provident Fund office for registration purpose.
